About Jami

Jami is a dynamic speaker that will both grab your group’s attention and hold it the entire time while also filling them with knowledge and inspiration to leave the world better than when they sat down. She is a sassy ball of fire with the joy of God inside her. Jami has an interesting way of delivering a no-nonsense message encouraging self-reflection and a deep dive into people’s innate temperament, skills, talents and desires, but can get them laughing and having a great time along that journey. Jami’s audiences always leave full of inspiration and dreams to go out into the world and live out what they were created to be and do.

Jami spent much of her childhood on stage and behind a television camera which simply grew and molded her already strong stage presence and ability to entertain. She continued to grow that talent throughout her young adult life by continuing to work on stage in the pageant world and through many music and performing opportunities.

The next phase of her life included furthering her education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. She spent time studying Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education and graduated in 2003 where she immediately went into a classroom teaching career for 6 years.

While Jami loved teaching and truly believed she was a gifted educator, she found herself struggling with two things: juggling motherhood while doing her best for the kids in her classroom, and the seemingly growing gap between what was pushed in public education and what children actually needed to learn to thrive in our ever-changing world. Luckily, God provided an opportunity for Jami to start her own business, and she was able to step away from the classroom to pursue that goal of growing an empire. She has worked in her business in two main ways: marketing and selling her products, and growing a team to do the same which required recruiting, training, coaching and mentoring. She is still working in this field while also exploring other avenues that the Lord is providing for her.

While all of her prior experience and education is important to her ability to deliver her message in a clear, precise and entertaining fashion, the true importance of what she has to share with your group came as she simply dealt with the things life threw her way.

Jami has worn many hats throughout her life: the child perform mentioned above, typical high school student, barista, cosmetology student and eventually stylist, teen wife, young mom, college student juggling motherhood and family life, teacher, foster mom, adoptive mom, business owner, and most importantly, Child of God. Some of these seasons of life lasted longer than others while other seasons taught her more about navigating life. The most important of all has been her relationship with Christ and the path that He has taken her on to discover what He called her to do and share with others.

Jami absolutely loves to speak about how each and every individual has natural God-given gifts and talents that help them to stand apart. We are not created to all be the same or do the same things in life. Jami has spent time in her own life discovering many of her talents and has, many times over, used those talents to start and grow a micro-business, or work in ministry fields that use those gifts and talents. Jami loves to guide large groups, or even individuals, to find what they were created to be and do in life. While there is no specific job for each of us, there are clearly areas of focus that some people are more talented in than others. She works with her audience to find what that skill set is and helps to spark ideas, inspiration, and motivation on what to do with those discoveries.

Jami is an amazing speaker to hire for many different scenarios because of her ability to customize her content for whatever group is in front of her.

While this is true, her dreams and her desire is to reach women who are either feeling lost in the world of motherhood, or feeling bored and unfulfilled in their current career role. For this reason, Jami is a perfect speaker to look at for Women-Centered events. Too often, when interacting with women, we hear women say “I am just a stay at home mom,” or “Oh, I am just a retail clerk.” Jami has a gift to start with the question, “But, WHAT ELSE?” and grow that into a deep dive of dreams in these women which often uncovers their gifts and talents. The next step is discovering what to do with those gifts and talents. Is it a business, and if so, how do you get started with that? Is it a ministry, and if so, what are the next steps? Perhaps it is a bit of both of those worlds, and where do you even begin? While women’s ministry is a huge part of what Jami does, she is also gifted to speak and train other groups.

Jami is also the perfect speaker for young adults trying to discover their next steps in the great big world of opportunities. It can be extremely overwhelming to look at everything our world has available and feel like you have to make a decision at eighteen years old of what you want to spend time doing for the rest of your life. She knows this is not how it has to be and she is a great example of continued education and transformation in her life to not just mold in different life seasons, but to grow and flourish with what life has thrown at her. Jami is an educator by trade and in her heart. Jami loves working with driven young adults to help them uncover what God has designed for them and their lives while encouraging them with the fact that one career path can lead to another and another for their whole lives weaving their gifts and talents into what God has in store for them.
